Goizueta Business School – Emory University


Emory University’s Goizueta Business School was founded in 1919 and started its MBA program in 1954. It received accreditation by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) during 1949. In 1994, the school received its current name in honor of former Coca-Cola CEO Roberto Goizueta. Currently, the school offers the following programs: BBA, MS in Business Analytics, Full-Time MBA, Evening MBA, Executive MBA, and a Ph.D.

Goizueta Business School is located within Emory University’s main campus in the picturesque suburban Druid Hills section of Atlanta, less than 30 minutes from the Atlanta International Airport.

The campus is within driving distance of downtown Atlanta and the Buckhead financial district, both of which house numerous Fortune 500 and 100 companies. Emory University’s main campus also houses Emory’s other professional schools and the Centers for Disease Control headquarters.

Emory’s Woodruff library also contains the Business School’s library.


The Goizueta Business School building is on the southern edge of Emory University’s main campus. The building offers state-of-the-art technology throughout its classrooms, a fully-equipped Computer Information Center, Wi-Fi Internet connectivity throughout the building, videoconferencing throughout classrooms, breakout rooms with AV capabilities, and a business center. Included within the Business School is the Goizueta Foundation Center for Research and Doctoral Education, whose connected building is certified as LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council for its sustainable design. The spacious building is over 100,000 square feet and was completed in 2005.


Goizueta employs 105 faculty members who teach courses across five departments: accounting, finance, marketing, organization and management and information systems & operation management. Students are given an intimate academic experience with a 5:1 faculty to student ratio. In addition to holding advanced degrees, many faculty members at Goizueta have practical business expertise through consulting, executive, and entrepreneurial work histories.

Student Body

Recently, the Goizueta Business School had 595 students enrolled full-time in its graduate programs and 226 enrolled part-time. Sixty-nine percent of those students are male and 31 percent are female.

MBA Offerings

Goizueta Business School offers a full-time MBA program (to be completed on a two- or one-year track), a part-time Evening MBA program, and an Executive MBA program to be completed in either a Weekend or Modular schedule structure. The school also offers a Ph.D. program in partnership with the Laney Graduate School, accepting 10-15 students per year, and a Master of Science in Business Analytics.
